On February 20th, actress Lee Young-yoo, a former member of the group 7 Princess, shared memories of the late Kim Sae-ron through her personal channel. Through posts and stories, she shared a total of 22 photos and posted a lengthy message filled with sorrow as she bid farewell to the deceased.
Lee Young-yoo wrote, “My eternal husband, my heart, my other half, my life—our Ron. Having you in my life made it so happy, brilliant and colorful. You always felt like you hadn’t given enough, even when you gave so much… Thanks to you, I was able to experience and receive such unconditional love. Thank you, thank you, and thank you again. I miss you so much, but at least you are no longer in pain. That’s enough for me. I’m sorry I couldn’t protect you. I miss you, my little sister. I love you so much.”
The accompanying photos captured cherished memories, including traveling abroad, shopping, visiting an amusement park, and having dinner together. Particularly, a video of Kim Sae-ron and Lee Young-yoo smiling brightly during a trip added to the sense of longing.
Through her Instagram Story, Lee Young-yoo shared a video from her post, simply writing “So cute“, followed by “It was just happiness“. Given that Kim Sae-ron faced negative public opinion due to her past DUI incident and SNS controversies before her passing, the phrase “It was just happiness” carried an even heavier emotional weight.
She also shared a photo of Kim Sae-ron smiling brightly, writing “My favorite picture“, and even a funny photo taken at a supermarket, captioned “This one is also super cute“, revealing many fond memories with the late actress.
Beyond Lee Young-yoo, Kim Sae-ron’s close friends are mourning her in their own ways. AKMU’s Lee Su-hyun, who was deeply close to Kim Sae-ron, was unable to attend Onew’s concert as a guest performer due to the loss. She was originally scheduled to appear at Onew’s concert on February 21st but reportedly rushed to Kim Sae-ron’s funeral hall upon hearing the tragic news, staying by her side until the end. Overcome with grief, she was unable to fulfill her scheduled activities, adding to the sorrow.
